Stakhovsky Wins

Sergiy Stakhovsky defeated Wayne Odesnik 6-4, 7-6 to capture the Levene Gouldin & Thompson Tennis Challenger this afternoon at Recreation Park in Binghamton. Stakhovsky had advanced to the final round with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Daniel Cox yesterday. Odesnik got his spot in the finals by topping Takanyi Garanganga in straight sets 6-1, 6-2.

A Delaware County man is charged with confinement of a companion animal in a vehicle during extreme temperatures.

50 year old Clayton Condon of Bovina Center is accused of leaving a dog in a tractor trailer with no air conditioning or ventilation at a gas station on Route 48 in Otego for at least 2 hours with outside temperatures in the mid 80s
