Utica Police Looking for Information in Fatal Hit and Run

Utica Police are actively searching for a suspect in a fatal hit and run that occurred last night.

Officers responded to an accident scene at approximately 10:50 on Saturday night, March 14, 2015, near Burrstone Road and Sunset Avenue.  A pedestrian who was hit by a car was badly injured and brought to the hospital, where he died of his injuries.

The victim is believed to be about 45 or 46 years old.  Police are not releasing any other identifying information, other than to say that the victim was male, until the next of kin has been notified.

Authorities are requesting that anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the accident or who may have seen a red pick up truck that may have been involved give them a call at: (315) 223.3510.  All calls will be kept confidential.
