Utica To Host HUD Summit

WIBX

The City of Utica has been selected to host the 2015 Strengthening Cities, Communities and Home Summit by the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Mayor Robert Palmieri and Pamela Matt, the Executive Director of the Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce, will co-chair the summit.

Last year, Utica was one of three municipalities in New York State to selected by HUD to conduct a Community Needs Assessment initiative.

Based on the success of the CNA , the city was picked to host this year’s summit.

The summit will take place on May 19th and 20th.

In addition to HUD, a number of state agencies, including New York Homes and Community Renewal, will be participating.

Moe details about the summit and registration information will be released in the coming weeks.
